Djibouti (Dawan) A child was killed and several people injured after a vehicle veered off the road near Iskoutir, Djibouti News Agency (ADI) reported.
Preliminary reports indicate that the vehicle was travelling from Djibouti City to Ali Sabieh when it left the roadway for unknown reasons.
The vehicle was carrying 11 passengers, including five adults and six children.
A child died at the scene of the accident, while one adult sustained serious injuries, according to sources cited by ADI. Several other passengers suffered injuries of varying severity.

Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash and evacuated the injured to nearby health facilities for treatment.
Authorities have not yet established the exact cause of the accident.
Road accidents remain a recurring concern on some of Djibouti’s major transport corridors, prompting repeated calls from authorities for stricter adherence to road safety regulations and greater caution by motorists.
