Breaking: Affordable Housing Workers Protest Over Three Weeks’ Unpaid Wages in Kapsabet

Kenya, August 24, 2026 - Affordable Housing workers at the Chesumei project in Kapsabet have taken to the streets, protesting over alleged delays in payment of their wages for the past three weeks.

Videos circulating on social media show the workers blocking a road as they demand payment. The protest echoes similar grievances raised by Affordable Housing workers in Shauri Moyo, Nairobi, earlier this year, when artisans complained of delayed wages affecting their ability to meet basic household needs.
