Hargeysa(Mogadishu24)-A chaotic scene unfolded in Somaliland's Parliament as members engaged in physical altercations during a session on a motion of impeachment against MP Mohamed Abib, who was arrested yesterday.
Video footage captured the intensity of the conflict, with Representative Barkhad Batun seen throwing his smartphone at another MP, while others were involved in boxing matches.

The violence erupted as the Parliament debated whether to strip Abib of his immunity. However, the House of Representatives ultimately voted in favor of Abib, rejecting the motion to remove his immunity. Out of 57 members present, 51 voted against the motion, while only three supported it, and two abstained.
The incident has raised concerns about the increasing tensions within Somaliland's political arena as the Parliament continues to grapple with internal disputes and legal challenges.
