Mogadishu, Somalia – The Banadir Regional Administration has officially taken control of a property that it claims was being used for activities detrimental to national security. The spokesperson for the Banadir Regional Administration, Salah Hassan Omar, read out a directive issued by the region regarding the decision to take control of a property in the Xamar Jajab district.
The spokesperson stated that the property belongs to a citizen named Fahmo Warsame Gabayare, and all ownership documents for the property were annulled after it was claimed to have been used for purposes that pose a threat to national security.
"Starting from the day this order is signed, the municipal government of Mogadishu has taken over the land owned by the citizen Fahmo Warsame Gabayare, located in the Xamar Jajab district, Gaheyr area, Saqaawadiin branch, with a size of 20 by 15 meters," said the spokesperson for the Banadir Administration.
The decision, according to the administration, is based on the laws and regulations outlined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and it was presented by the Ministry of Internal Security and the Banadir Police Division.
