Baidoa (Dawan Africa ) - Ali Mohamuud Mohamed has been elected to fill the vacant HOP187 seat in Somalia’s 11th Federal Parliament following today’s election in Baidoa.
The vote, held in the South West State Parliament hall, saw a unanimous decision from all 69 delegates who cast their votes by hand, choosing Mohamed over his opponent, Caasho Abuukar.
In his victory speech, Mohamed committed to serving his constituents with dedication. The seat became vacant after Ali Said Fiqi Xaaji Aweys was elected Speaker of the South West State House of Representatives earlier this year.
