Kenya, 16 August 2026 - Arsenal have made a powerful statement at the start of the new season, defeating Manchester City 3-0 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff to lift the 2026 FA Community Shield.
Goals from Riccardo Calafiori, Kai Havertz and Martin Ødegaard secured a convincing victory for Mikel Arteta's Premier League champions and handed Enzo Maresca a difficult start to his competitive reign as Manchester City manager.
The result gives Arsenal their first piece of silverware of the 2026/27 campaign and, perhaps more importantly, provides an early psychological boost ahead of their Premier League title defence.

Nevertheless, Arsenal's 3-0 victory will send an unmistakable message to their domestic rivals.
