Kenya, 21 January 2026 - Arsenal extended their perfect start to this season’s UEFA Champions League with a commanding 3–1 victory over Inter Milan at the San Siro on Tuesday, marking seven wins in seven matches in Europe’s premier club competition.
The result not only kept the Gunners unbeaten in the tournament but also secured their place in the last 16 and guaranteed a top-two finish in the league phase.
The opening goal came early as Arsenal took the lead in the 10th minute. Gabriel Jesus, starting his first match of the campaign after returning from injury, finished off a low cross from Jurrien Timber to give the visitors the advantage.
Inter responded eight minutes later when Petar Sucic unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box that beat goalkeeper David Raya, bringing the score to 1–1 and energising the home crowd.
However, Arsenal regained control before half-time. In the 31st minute, Jesus rose highest from a corner to head his second of the night and restore the Gunners’ lead. His performance was a reminder of his quality and importance to Mikel Arteta’s side.

The third and decisive goal came in the 84th minute when substitute Viktor Gyokeres sealed the victory with a superb strike from outside the area, wrapping up a well-deserved win for the visitors.
Arsenal’s flawless run this season has included victories over major clubs such as Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid, and their dominance in the group has made them the only team still with a 100 % record at this stage of the competition.
Manager Mikel Arteta praised his squad’s performance, stating they “went to another level” in Milan, while also highlighting the strength in depth that allowed Arsenal to maintain intensity even with changes in the lineup.
With one group game remaining, Arsenal’s focus will now switch to completing the league phase unbeaten and preparing for the knockout stages, where they will be among the favourites to go deep in their quest for a first-ever Champions League title.
