JOWHAR, 28 September 2026 Hirshabelle President Ali Abdullahi Hussein Gudlawe on Sunday urged his supporters to vote for the Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP) in local council and state assembly elections scheduled for September 30.
Gudlawe made the appeal during a rally organised by JSP supporters, calling on residents across Hirshabelle’s districts to turn out at polling stations on election day.
He reminded voters that JSP is contesting under number 15 and is represented by a green bird symbol, urging supporters to back the party.
“Vote for JSP, support JSP and support me,” Gudlawe said.

Gudlawe said supporting JSP was part of the party’s effort to secure representation in the local councils and Hirshabelle House of Representatives being elected on September 30.
JSP has separately selected Gudlawe as its candidate for the Hirshabelle presidency, allowing him to seek another term as leader of the federal member state.
Gudlawe thanked Somali President and JSP chairman Hassan Sheikh Mohamud for the party’s decision to entrust him with representing JSP in the contest for Hirshabelle’s leadership.
Gudlawe’s appeal comes as political organisations intensify their campaigns ahead of the September 30 local council and state assembly elections. The National Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission set September 30 as polling day under a revised electoral timetable announced earlier this month.
