Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Al-Shabaab militants launched an attack on a government forces base in the Hosh neighborhood of Mogadishu’s Dharkenlay district overnight, claiming to have killed three soldiers and seizing an AK47 rifle.
Residents in the area reported hearing loud explosions and subsequent gunfire, causing panic.
Police sources have confirmed the attack, indicating that more details will be provided later today.

The assault is part of a series of increased nighttime attacks by Al-Shabaab targeting Kahda, Dharkenlay, and Wadajir districts, as well as the Mogadishu Airport and the heavily fortified Halane area, which hosts AU and UN headquarters.
