Djibouti, 1 December 2025 – The National Children’s Council met on Sunday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed to review progress made in child protection and development.
The session brought together ministers, United Nations representatives, and civil society actors to assess recent actions under a multisectoral framework aimed at harmonizing institutional interventions to enhance children's rights
Minister of Women and Family Mouna Osman Aden highlighted achievements and challenges, particularly regarding administrative coordination and territorial coverage of protective services. She also presented a new digital platform designed to improve case tracking and enhance operational responsiveness.

The Prime Minister praised the progress made and urged ministers to maintain consistent efforts.
International partners reaffirmed their support for the council as a mechanism to reduce child vulnerabilities.
The meeting concluded the council’s annual review and will inform the updated roadmap for 2026, emphasizing coordinated public services, local capacity building, and expanded use of digital tools.
